Systems or other elements removed from service are put back
into service. Examples include:
the rebooting of systems that have crashed in loosely coupled networks,
the use of checkpoints and transaction replay for resyncronization in more tightly coupled transaction systems, and
hardware replacement and resyncronization used in redundant computers.
use of installation scripts and template files or backups to get a system back to a known state.
Complexity: Reintegration is relatively straight forward if properly planned
before hand. Otherwise, it may be quite difficult, and sometimes even
impossible, to fully reintegrate.
