Name:physical switches or shields on equipment and devices
Peripherals such as microphones and cameras are provided with
switches capable of definitively disabling their operation, while disks are
physically write locked and equipment may use smoke and dust filters.
Examples include covers over video cameras, switches that electrically or
mechanically disconnect microphones, and keyed disconnects for keyboards,
mice, and displays.
Complexity: This is not a complex issue to address, but substantial costs
may be involved if implemented through a retrofit.
