Physical or informational goods are delivered in such a way as
to assure security properties. Examples include cryptographic checksums
used to seal software distributed over public communications systems,
special bonded couriers using secure carrying cases, and buying through
phony or friendly corporations so as to conceal the real destination of a
shipment.
Complexity: Some aspects of secure distribution, such as the elimination of
covert channels related to bandwidth utilization, can be quite complex - in
some cases as complex as a cryptography in general, while other aspects are
relatively easy to do at low cost.
