Sri Lanka: Liberation Tigers Of Tamil Attack Sri Lankan
Embassies. Over the last few months, the Tamil Tigers have
executed denial of service attacks against Sri Lankan embassies. The
Tigers have claimed credit for several terrorist attacks against the Sri
Lankan government.

Bolstered by such successes, the Tigers may expand these types of
attacks to other Sri Lankan businesses and governmental organizations.

A criminal gang in the UK, which has been described as "a gang of Tamil
Sympathizers," committed approximately 400,000 fraudulent calls this
year, amounting to $3.34 million in losses for British Telecom, before
they were arrested.

Call-sell operations such as these in which the fraudulent party sells
stolen or below-cost phone service are known to provide an important
source of revenue for terrorist organizations.
