Redundancy: Storage location: Where and in what sort of containers are backups stored?
Options:
Option 1: Use a closet or storage room.Option 2: Use the computer room.
Option 3: Use a standard business safe.
Option 4: Use a media fire safe.
Option 5: Use off-site storage.
Basis:
Use a closet or storage room.Storage in a closet, the computer room, or a standard business safe that is good for paper records will not be effective for electronic media. A fire that destroys the computers will almost certainly destroy the backup media and the storage closet if they are proximate. Standard business safes that protect paper from destruction reach internal temperatures that are high enough to cause computer media to lose its data. As a result, these three are strongly discouraged for backup retention.
Use the computer room.

Use a media fire safe.
A media fire safe is designed to assure that the electronic media
is kept within safe temperatures for a defined period of time in a
defined temperature environment, and as such, protects the contents
from fire as well as providing the protections associated with a
business safe against theft.
Use off-site storage.
In order to be effective in a fire, flood, or other sort of
disaster situation, backup copies of computer content must be kept
safe or similar vault type facility, or they may be lost along with
all of the business value contained in them. In order to assure
utility, backups should be separate and different from originals, and
the more separated and different, the better it is for assuring the
ability to get back the content.
