This slide shows the structure of human and human organization deceptions.
Deception, in general, comes in the form of induced or suppressed (hopefully enemy) observables. Expectations affect sensors, assessed observables affect expectations and, eventually, intent, while assessments combine with capabilities to yield actions. Actions have costs (as does everything). Detailed mechanisms underlie each of these areas as well.
