LAN AUDIT PROGRAM OUTLINE



My experience in auditing LAN is the following:

1.  Check for computer virus
2.  Check for unauthorized software installed in LAN
3.  Check for the appropriateness of the holders of supervisory rights
4.  Check for any invalid objects in the server
5.  Check for the setting (including access rights) of guest accounts
6.  Check for intruder detection settings
7.  Check for length and formats of passwords
8.  Check for password change frequency
9.  Select several LAN account application/amendment forms to check 
    against their actual settings
10. Check for the existence of LAN accounts belongs to ex-staff
11. Check for the appropriateness of the access right granted on 
    sensitive directories on general users
