The military faces the newest revolution in military affairs as it enters the 21st century. The military is affected internally as it evaluates its continued role in the new age. Both the quality of its personnel and its organizational structure are affected to a degree. The external threats are examined and a future military doctrine which accounts for information as a dominant instrument in future wars is discussed.
