This is my first experience with DTK. I'm giving you my impressions.

I mentioned the mispackaged tar to the wrong address earlier. One of the
directories is duplicated and the result is unimportant errors during the
extract.

"make clean" is wrong. It assumes that . is in the path. Having . in the
path is bad.

When I was adding entries to /etc/inetd.conf, it recommended a line like
this:

dtk	stream	tcp	nowait	root	/usr/local/dtk/dtk

[Fixed - b.t.w. - this is not the normal way to use DTK any more.
listen.pl is better]

...

At no point in the documentation http://all.net/dtk/download.html do you
instruct the user to type "make".

[Configure should do the make for you]

As for TCP wrappers, where can I find a distribution? Are they already
installed on my RedHat box?

[Try www.cert.org for a pointer to the current source]

I wish you had DTK entries for SMB (Windows File Sharing). I have no idea
what SMB looks like though...

[We are working on a SMB forgery set - very slowly]
