Next Thursday at the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, CA, I will
be giving the following talk - for the first time anywhere:

			   Helter Skelter
DCAs, Strategies and Tactics, Total War,
and the Future of Information Operations

This talk will begin with a brief overview of results from 1996 in
Distributed Coordinated Attacks - such as those now being experienced
all over the Internet - extraced from a short course taught to the NSA
in that timeframe. We will then review some of the results of security
simulations, particularly in the area of attack and defense strategies.
Based on these results and the mathematics that underly these approaches
this talk will then discuss how the generalization of these mathematics
leads to a set of attack methods that will likely emerge in the coming
years, describe potentials for total war in the information domain, and
talk to the evolution of cyberwarfare and its implication on information
operations. And here's the kicker - it will all be covered in one hour.

Questions to be held to the end of the talk - Unclassified OUO

Most list attendees will not be able to attend, but I hope to have a
video of the talk and possible papers available within a few weeks of
its completion.
