"We" did not do this; some of "them" did this.  "They" seem to include the
FBI, which has a pretty broad shopping list of permissions they're seeking
(sacrificing a little freedom for temporary security), and various media
sources, who find the terrorism hook a ratings catalyst.  Now then, "they"
seem to have snookered a great many people into being concerned (if not
terrified) by statistically erroneous conclusions... that's our fault, for
not speaking out and challenging invalid claims and assumptions.

No, I never said there were lots of terrorist attempts.  Terrorists are
lonely, and relatively few.
