An article in Network Magazine

http://www.networkmagazine.com/magazine/current/9908def.htm

points to an url with a list of all US Nuclear weapons. As this article points out, the Chinese government said that this is where they got the information to build the advanced design nuclear weapon, not from spies in the US.!!! .  A skillful adversary like the Chinese government uses the internet for propaganda purposes, and disinformation when it is to its advantage.

Not doubt firewalls and protective measures are ineffective if internal enemies are at work from within. As the article points out secure documents were made freely available from LASL over the public internet.

I hope this doesn't happen again, freedom always has a price, but vigilance to protect the freedoms we take for granted can't have too high a cost.
