 I have always thought that the coining of the term "virus" with respect to
these little buggers was right on the mark, because it characterises them
and their behaviour perfectly  - even if their protoplasm is actually
"electo-protoplasm (or "electroplasm").

I just never can remember who first called them that...

As far as it meaning something, I wouldn't worry, Tony.  It's probably not
anything pathological (not right off, anyway).
