Pakistani hackers target zeetv.com site
The propaganda machinery is at full swing. The
rumours are thick and wide. One more Indian site
has been hacked by Pakistan and its cohorts. The
target this time, as the rumours suggest, is
India's premiere television company Zee TeleFilms
website Zeetv.com. However, the truth is far from
real. When expressindia.com contacted Zee Telefilms
Ltd, they denied that their site has been hacked.
The hacked website is not the official website of
Zee Telefilm and is owned by an NRI. Zee's official
website is zeetelevision.com. This incident seems
to be primarily a propaganda tactics as the hackers
can not have been ignorant of the Zee Telefilm's
official website.

Russian whiz kids schooled in art of hacking, but with heart
They call themselves ``the Viper Brothers,''
``the Software Underground Empire'' and
``Armageddon in Russia.'' They borrow their
philosophy from martial arts and Zen Buddhism.
They study at the feet of a bearded guru known
as ``Arvi the Hacker,'' or simply ``the Teacher.''
They are the teenage students of Russia's first
school of computer hacking. And while their skills
and bravado might seem dangerous, they say they
are the good guys, defending their clients from
an international war of viruses, hack attacks
and computer crime. The Civil Hackers' School,
operating from a shabby little Moscow apartment,
is helping shape the new generation of Russian
computer whiz kids who have provoked fear and
anxiety in the West.

Junk e-mail jams Verizon customers
More than a week after its network buckled under
a torrent of junk e-mail, and two days after the
company vowed to fully restore service, customers
of Verizon Communications Inc. yesterday continued
to suffer severe problems exchanging messages over
the Internet.
