US Internet on alert amid hack attacks

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 28 United Press International Copyright 2000 U.P.I.

There were mounting concerns about Internet security in the United States=
this weekend amid high-profile hacker operations originating in Russia and=
the Middle East. The FBI issued an alert about Palestinian cyber raids on=
Israeli computer systems, and continued investigating an intrusion into=
the Microsoft network that apparently originated in Russia.
