I decided to venture off to Las Vegas in order to speak to the annual DefCon
convention. I chose the topic of hackers and information operations, simply
because the hacker community is developing the capabilities, but not getting
a handle on intentions or structure. Rather than have the hacker community
sucked into some weird vortex of thought that would be hostile (to individual
freedom, to national security, etc.), I thought some friendly education might
be in order.

The presentation is very 'lite'--a much-diluted version of what I train clients
in, but it still gets across the basic concepts. Enjoy it, and obviously I
welcome comments, questions, flames, etc.
