No harm done (at least to me :).

Since I am not in a position to make policy (other than in a small 
corner of the Internet), the only thing I can do is practice what I 
preach, defend myself, and make it difficult for my infrastructure to 
be used as a weapon against others.  I do speak my mind on these 
issues to those with more say in policy than I, but until the 
national debate over "hackers" takes on the additional element of why 
our infrastructures are so fragile, we are going to be chasing our 
tails.  Anyone out there have the ear of a major media organization?  
You said that it's time to act -- those who have the visibility 
or the contacts need to influence the debate.  We talk about iwar 
here -- this is a chance to put theory into practice, and get 
something changed _before_ we suffer a meltdown.
