Emergency crews, who were called out to Enfield Chase railway station in the north of the capital, cleared pubs and restaurants after eight people reported feeling ill. Police said a "chemical incident" had occurred but believed it had no terrorist implications. James Greer, 45, a chef at the Beautiful South restaurant, said: "There were lots of ambulances and fire engines and police about. "A senior fireman came into my restaurant and told us all to get out. "A few people were being treated by ambulances but it was hard to work out exactly what was going on. "Apparently they had breathed some sort of substance."
