This report in from a major law enforcement Internet forum:

[Elided] appears to be under attack.  I have no details or info other than
that subscribers are getting flooded with hundreds of digest messages.  I
have no choice but to shut down the list until the matter can be resolved.
After I find out what went wrong and can get it up again without any
problems, I will email all of you and provide instructions on rejoining the
list.
