I agree, but it is a two way street.  I have a friend who had a family
member killed in the Tet Offensive during the Vietnam war.  While
Ramadan is very important in Islam, the Taliban are on the edge of
being a cult, in a country run by war lords.  Real 10C stuff. They may
view it their duty to kill as many "infidels" as they can during
Ramadan, not as a religious time of peaful cooexistance with THEIR
fellow man.  If the world was perfect, this would never happen, but if
the TET Offensive in Nsm is aa good example, I do not think the Taliban
will lay down their weapon to fast and pray in regognition of this
solemn holy time.
