Reply-To: iwar@yahoogroups.com Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Fred, I somewhat agree with Rob, and want to say that there is more to it than he says, this list has indeed lost its focus. The material presented here has become a one sided rather than the two sided that was presented earlier. Am wondering what prompted this quantum change in focus. Also the interesting intellectual thrusts and parries have become more of a beat-the-other-guy competitions. Been thinking about unsubscribing. Per the message sent by Rob Rosenberger: > Fred, do you have a current charter for [iwar]? "This list is for the serious information warrior, those who want to keep abreast of the rise of information warfare, and the casual observer who wants to understand the issues." > When I subscribed, I > thought we'd all participate in a roundtable discussion of information > warfare & whatnot. I miss those heady days when MAGLAN offered > interesting commentary and we all got to chime in with deep thinking. > Now I see little more than a high-traffic newsclipping service. The way to alter the behavior of the forum is to start discussiong the issues that arise. I, for one, am interested in all views. I have come to believe that high quality information warfare involves deep thought and understanding of behaviors. I have spent some considerable time lately looking at these issues and applying them in a practical sense - hence some of the recent papers at all.net. I would love to hear other views and see information on other researchers' results. > No offense, but I didn't come here to read the funny pages. I came > here to debate. Perhaps you could create an [iwar-news] and let us > return to the original charter? It's easy to return. Start debating.
