Remember Bat D. Guano's tales of active duty Army personnel trying to
muscle him over his accurate criticism of the lack of real red-teaming of
the digitized warriors at Ft. Irwin.

Well, it will take more than a Major or two to muscle the latest outfit to
call for serious jamming, spoofing and red-teaming of Force XXI -- the
Senate Armed Services Committee.

SAC included language in its version of the Defense Authorization Bill
requiring real attempts to jam and run intercepts on the November
division-sized AWE, much like Bat suggested, but with some real teeth in
it. 

Bat are you ready to volunteer for the electronic OPFOR?

By the way, do you think anyone in the ADO has read the Signal History of
the Vietnam War which reported a supposedly unsophisticated enemy
developed the capability to monitor thousands of tactical nets -- just
think what a 17 year old Chinese with access to Radio Shack and a computer
can do today.
