News from Chinese website: www.sina.com.cn

HUC (Honker Union of China) claimed that their goal has been reached: ˇ°From
now on, all the hacker attacks have no relationship with HUCˇ±.
Since the SINO-US aero-collision, hundreds of Chinese websites were attacked
by US hackers. HUC, a informal hacker organization consisted by Chinese
hackers, claimed it would counterattack US websites from May 1.
With the beginning of network war, thousand of websites from both sides were
attacked. HUC claimed that it had attacked more than 1000 US sites.
An administrator from a network security company in Beijing said that unless
the administrators pay attention to the security protection of their server,
or most of the websites are susceptibly attacked by the hackers. He also
stated that most of the attacks were completed by using a series of
low-defended servers as the springboard.
HUC also called to enforce the safety of Chinese sites in their statement.
It said that the benefit of this conflict was forcing the Chinese sites to
pay attention to the importance of network security. ˇ°Now more and more
websites will take the problem of network security seriously.ˇ±
