IRA site taken offline as US cracks down on pro-terror websites
Security News Portal, 10/5/2001
<a href="http://www.securitynewsportal.com/article.php?sid=1841">http://www.securitynewsportal.com/article.php?sid=1841>

A US website promoting the cause of the IRA has been taken off the web
in the continuing crackdown on all things terrorist related.

IRAradio.com which was developed in association with US radio station
Radio Free Eireann by the Cosmic Entertainment Company has put up a
message on its holding page which says the site has closed as a result
of new legislation that gives the FBI and CIA the right to seize the
assets and cease the operations of any organisation linked to terrorism.
Earlier this year IRAradio.com encouraged visitors to the site to write
letters of support for Michael McKevitt, who is facing trial in Dublin
on terrorist charges and is the alleged leader of the Real IRA. Despite
this the IRAradio.com site includes a disclaimer which reads: "The
Cosmic Entertainment Company does not and will not support terrorism of
any kind!
