Taliban 'bans people from speaking English'
ANANOVA

The Taliban has reportedly banned people from speaking English.

Diplomats at UN missions in Pakistan told the Frontier Post Afghan
authorities issued the ban to their colleagues.

They're being forced to speak in local languages like Pashton and Dari, the
paper says.

It also says all phone conversations between UN officials in Afghanistan and
colleagues elsewhere are being monitored by the Taliban.

Taliban diplomats in Islamabad haven't commented on the reported ban on
English.
