bin Laden may not be any fan of gambling, drugs, or other "western vices" 
himself, but it is quite plain that a great many shady, quasi-military 
operations, on all points of the geopolitical spectrum, have exploited the 
money-flows of major gambling centers and drug money to provide financial 
cover.  I would wager ;) that the al Qaeda "middle-men" are no different in 
this regard.
