Well, it is pointless to continue on what you said and I said. One last
comment, I am not sure you are too conservative in this statement
"...."Taliban",  which is only Muslim by some great stretch of the
imagination...". For I believe, and correct me if I am wrong, you do not
appear to have knowledge of what is a Muslim and what is not, even I do
not (simply because I am not an expert on this subject), so lets not get
into this debate.

My comments addressed the statement that "None but the Muslims" are to 
blame for their conditions.  That statement is far broader than
"Taliban", 
which is only Muslim by some great stretch of the imagination.  My
comments 
address the entire Muslim and Arab world, vis-a-vis the west,
historically.

Or shall we proclaim that history plays no part in the events of 9/11?

I hold the Taliban to be largely responsible for "their" fate.
