[iwar] Microwave weapons vs computers

There is an article in the November IEEE Spectrum on microwave weapons.
It discusses the possibility that even EMP shielded devices are
susceptible to the tunable class of RF generators. It also makes the
point that while COTS equipment saved the military money and shortened
deployment cycles, there may be a heavy price to pay.

How likely is it that we will soon be seeing a lot of Semiconductor
Sudden Death Syndrome?
