Phone Scripts


Telephone scripts presented by / provide interactive real-time assistance to the user discussing a debt with a debtor. They are necessarily simplified versions of what an expert bill collector might say, and they do not explore absolutely every possibility, but because bill collection is a relatively limited field, the vast majority of responses are covered directly by the scripting system. The scripting system takes a few minutes to get used to, and new users should try it on a test case or two before using it on real customers. You can practice without actually making a telephone call, and get used to the system before you interact with real debtors. From a legal standpoint, following the scripts very closely allows you to show that you were prudent, not abusive, that you followed all of the rules of collections, etc. We do not advise you to become overly creative in their use.
