The / Menus

/ operates from a menu-based user interface. Most user operations are performed by moving to a proper menu selection and pressing /, optionally followed by responding to prompts. All built-in menu selections have help that appears on the message line at the bottom of the screen as the menu selection is highlighted.

The menus operate from either the arrow keys on the / keyboard, or a Microsoft compatible mouse. From the keyboard, use / and / to move the cursor to the next or previous selection, the / and / key to move to the first or last menu selection, the / key to activate a menu selection, and the / key to exit a menu and return to its parent menu. With a mouse, moving the mouse up and down is equivalent to using the / and / keys, pressing the left mouse button is the same as pressing / and pressing the right mouse button is the same as pressing /. From `Press / to continue' prompts, either mouse button works, and from a `yes or no' prompt, the left mouse button is the same as pressing `n' and the right mouse button is the same as pressing `y'. Menus `wrap around' so that moving up from the top of a menu takes you to the bottom of the menu, and moving down from the bottom of a menu moves you to the top of the menu. The operation of menus is also described on the screen when you press the / key.
