The Reports Submenu

The / submenu provides several options for generating reports. By default, we provide the following reports:

The / selection produces a report containing the history of every debtor. Each debtor is listed on one or more separate sheets, so that these reports can be used for filing in a filing cabinet or sent to other interested parties as a detailed report of activities.

The / selection lists the current cases in a short summary format.

The / selection produces an ASCII text file in a standard interchange format for exporting data to external applications.

The / selection produces a report listing the debtor number, full name, amount due, payment amount, next contact date, and current status for all debtors.

The / selection prompts for a starting and ending date, and for all payment related events during the described period, provides a detailed listing along with a summary of the amount collected, collection fees, direct payments and returns, and net amount due the client.

The / selection produces a report listing the debtor number, last name, amount due, and current status for all debtors.

The / selection produces a report listing the total collectible amount, the regular payments pending, the portion of those payments expected to be paid in the remainder of this month, the total volume of late payments, new accounts, account pending calls, accounts pending first contact, accounts pending suit, accounts currently being sued, the amount left unpaid in accounts marked as paid in full, the total volume of bad debts, the total referred to the debtor's lawyer, and the total being disputed.

All of the reports provide options for typing them on the screen or sending them to the printer, each of which appears as a `y' or `n' question to the user. Reports are left in files with the extension `Rep' in the directory containing /. Reports can be interrupted during processing by pressing /, but this will generate abbreviated reports.
