There is no general theory of the class of all attacks on cryptosystems
No matter how many I list, there may be many more classes of attacks
All of these systems (except one-time-pad) depend on not having big mathematical or computational breakthroughs
Any of these systems (except one-time-pad) could fall over tomorrow in a big way (breakable)
