Press Release Dated 22nd September 2001

        MEDIA AND SECTARIAN ONSLAUGHT AGAINST ISLAM &amp; MUSLIMS

 Since the atrocities in New York on Tuesday the 11th of September 2001
media attention has been focused on Islam and Muslims and in particular
Al-Muhajiroun.  This press release is intended to dispel some of the
misconceptions that have been spread about this Islamic Movement and to
thereby put the record straight. 

1.  That Al-Muhajiroun are connected to As-Sakina Organisation and
engage in military training and sending Muslims abroad to fight

As-Sakina is an independent youth organisation which has its own agenda
and objective distinct from Al-Muhajiroun.  Al-Muhajiroun is an Islamic
Movement which engages in an ideological and political struggle in order
to interact with the society in which it functions to present Islam as
an alternative to the prevalent way of life such as capitalism or
socialism/communism by non-violence means.  Its objective is to
establish the Islamic State (Al-Khilafah) which will carry Islam to the
world and eventually lead to Izhaar ud-Deen (i.e.  the domination of the
world by Islam).  The mechanisms used for this propagation within
society are open, public debate and discussion, enjoining good and
forbidding evil, exposing thereby the false way of life and presenting
the truth and justice of Islam as an alternative. 

 2.  That the attack on the Pentagon was justified Al-Muhajiroun have
made their stance clear

That to take any aircraft full of civilians and to fly it into any
building, including the Pentagon or the World Trade Centre, is
considered a crime in Islam and is in direct violation of the Shari'ah
(i.e.  Islamic Law) which states clearly that all life has sanctity
whether Muslim or non-Muslim.  Indeed Islam does not even allow Muslims
to take the life of animals or trees without a divine permit

3.  That Al-Muhajiroun have declared Jihad against all Americans and
Britons

The reality of US aggression in Iraq, their support of the pirate State
of Israel, the presence of their forces on Muslim soil upholding the
puppet, corrupt regimes in Muslim countries and their atrocities over
the last few years in Somalia, Sudan and Afghanistan have meant that in
fact the US and their allies (such as the British) have already declared
war against Islam and Muslims themselves and that the Muslims
world-wide, rather than declaring war are merely protecting Muslim life,
property and honour under attack.  The envisaged response of the Muslims
in Afghanistan to the US-led aggression is no different to that of
Muslims in Palestine, Kashmir, Chechnya or Kosova i.e.  defensive Jihad
which would be an obligation for the Muslims in the area under attack to
engage in militarily and physically and for the Muslims world-wide to
support financially and verbally and physically (if they wish to travel
to the area under attack). 

4.  That the attacks against Muslims in Britain, America and elsewhere
can be attributed to statements made by members of Al-Muhajiroun

The use of pejorative such as 'Islamic Fundamentalism', 'Muslim
Fanatics' and 'Militant Islam' by both the US and UK governments in
their 'Crusade' of 'Good verses Evil' has created an atmosphere of hate
against Islam and Muslims.  This has been exploited by the Western Media
who have whipped the public into a frenzy and which has inevitably led
to verbal and physical abuse of Muslims living in the West, to the
extent of petrol bombing mosques and murder.  In response to this
irresponsibility of the Western States and their media propaganda,
Al-Muhajiroun have exhausted effort in making it known to the media that
there is no evidence that Muslims or Usama Bin laden had anything
whatsoever to do with the events in New York.  In addition Al-Muhajiroun
have made it clear to the media that even if it transpires that there
were Muslims involved, just as we don't attribute the atrocities in
Serbia to Christian Fundamentalism or those in Palestine to Jewish
Fundamentalism, we must distance Islam and Muslims from what has no
foundation in the Shari'ah (i.e.  divine Islamic law).  Moreover,
Al-Muhajiroun immediately set up a series of incident rooms across
Britain to deal with all the attacks, to provide security for the
Muslims and advice in these difficult times.  For the Sect set up by the
British government (following the Runnymead Trust Report on
'Islamophobia') known as the 'Muslim Council of Britain' (or the MCB) to
try to gain media coverage by blaming the attacks on Muslims on
Al-Muhajiroun is not only foolish, irresponsible and a violation of the
Shari'ah but has deliberately been planned by the Blair regime to
drawing attention away from their imminent mass murder of Muslims in
Afghanistan and the focused attack against this Western aggression by
Al-Muhajiroun. 

5.  That Al-Muhajiroun have called for the assassination of General
Pervez Musharraf

Fatwa is a divine Decree (it is not a license to kill) The Fatwa issued
by Sheikh Omar Bakri Muhammad, Judge of The Shari'ah Court of The UK and
Amir of The Khilafah Movement, and which is supported by Al-Muhajiroun
is the following: That the call for Muslims in Pakistan to fight and
kill Muslims in Afghanistan under the US-led alliance is considered to
be an act of apostasy in the Shari'ah and the perpetrator is immediately
considered to be an Apostate because of his declaration of war against
Muslims (Murtad Harbi).  The implications of this are that Mr Musharraf
would no longer be considered to be Muslim and under Shari'ah law must
face a trial by a Shari'ah Cour.  Further, this fatwa is supported by
the Juristic Scholars world-wide.  A fatwa, far from a death threat, is
the Islamic verdict on any specific scenario/situation and can relate to
any area of life such as marriage, ritual actions, transactions etc... 
The Shari'ah Court of The UK, as a reference point for Usuli Muslims in
Britain and elsewhere has issued over 60 Fatwas in recent years on all
areas of Islamic law, invariably in response to requests on the Islamic
position in various situations. 

6.  Secterian Attack from the Illmaani Muslims against Usuli Muslims Al
Muhajiroun and the Khilafah Movement are part of the Muslim Ummah who
follow Usul Al-Fiqh i.e.  Quran and Sunnah Only where as the Illmaani
Muslims they follow Quran and The Law of The Land therefore it comes as
now surprise they (Illmaani i.e.  seculars) came out and show their own
sectarian hatred and false Islam by lying about our community, and
supporting theTabloid Newspaper who fabricate and distort our community
to attack us without Verification.  Moreover, claiming that we are a
fringe of their community whereas in fact we are a different community
and different type of Islam....  we will never alliance with non-Muslims
against Muslims For Allah (swt) says:

"O you who believe take not the Non-Muslims for your Alliances, Friends
and Protectors they are but Friends, Alliances and Protectors to each
other and he amongst who turns to them for Alliance, Friendship and
Protection is one of them verily Allah (swt) will never guide
oppressors." Quran [5:51] and also says "O Believers take not for
friends, alliances and protectors those who do not believe in your
religion (ideology) or who take your religion for a mockery or sport,
whether among those who received the scripture before you or among those
who reject faith; fear Allah (swt) but fear Allah (swt) if indeed
Believers " Quran [5:57]

The Usuli Muslims in the UK (those who follow Quran and the teaching of
Muhammad (saw) and his family and companions ONLY) distance themselves
from the illmaani Muslim sect ( i.e.  the secular Muslims e.g.  Muslim
Council in Britain and YMO) because they are different sect&amp; they
are pro-alcohol, pro-abortion, pro-usury, pro-voting for labour,
conservative etc, pro-democracy and they uphold allegiance to the Queen
and they are the Friend and the voice of the British government. 
Whereas the Usuli Muslim they follow Nahj ul-Salaf Al-Saaleh, they are
anti-alcohol, anti abortion, anti usury, anti-voting, they are
submitters to Allah (swt) Alone therefore do not believe in man-made
democracy and their allegiance to the almighty Allah (swt) Alone&amp;.
